MISSION AND HISTORY
"To Help Youth and Young Adults Discover Their Life's Purpose Through Life Skills Education and Mentoring."
Since its inception in 2001, ABT has taught Life Skills Education and Character Building to students in Chattanooga and surrounding area schools. Additionally, ABT provided assistance to juvenile detention centers, church youth groups, youth civic organizations and other local agencies serving youth and their families in Hamilton County, Tennessee.
In the past three years, ABT has served over 600 students in our “In-school Life skills/Character Building” program. Provided summer jobs with stipends, life skills, and job skills training for over 50 students each summer, through our “Work & Learn Summer Jobs Program”. Participated in community outreach partnering with local agencies and churches. Served over 100 young men through our “Project Evolution Intensive” Program, providing life skills, mentoring, conflict resolution training and were liaisons between the young men and local businesses for employment opportunities.
